This provides a set of components for making wireless communications a simple process using various technologies available today.
Wireless Communication Library MFC Edition brings the features of Bluetooth, IrDA, WiFi and Wii Remote (Wiimote) technologies to your any application being developed using MFC/C++ applications. Developers can simply focus on implementing the application logic rather than redo the communication primitives and spend time in testing them. For example, it would be quite easy to develop Bluetooth proximity application in a few days time. This communications library includes all the primitives you are going to need to utilize the Bluetooth, IrDA and WiFi in your MFC/C++ technology based applications. Functionalities such as discovering devices, sending/receiving files, bulk file sending, enumerating WiFi networks, WiFi signal quality measurements, RSSI level measurements, Bluetooth server applications for BT chat, receiving files etc. can be made available easily.
WCL C++ edition includes several frameworks like the Bluetooth C++ Framework, IrDA C++ Framework, WiFi C++ Framework and Serial C++ Framework. A Bluetooth Proximity Marketing Framework is also now available that lets you build your new Bluetooth Marketing application quickly and easily. The demo version has some limitations however. There is the nag screen, of course. Besides, the library set will work for first 100 accepted devices only. It also does not permit you to develop complete applications for own use or commercial use, even if free. This is a very good product and if you are looking for a tool like this, this could be it.
